Feed the Fire Spawners Guide: Buying and Automation

Buy and place spawners in Feed the Fire, protect them from spreading flames, and use delivery upgrades to reduce manual fire-feeding.

In Feed the Fire, buy spawners with in-game money from the Feed your fire upgrade board, then follow the placement prompt to set them down. They produce fuel automatically, but spawners alone leave the fuel on the field. You still need to drag it into the fire until you add upgrades that help deliver or burn it.

How to get and place spawners

New spawner offers appear as you progress. Watch for the announcement that a new spawner has arrived, then buy it from the upgrade board when you can afford it. Organic, firework, and electric spawners are examples you can acquire during play.

  1. Buy an available spawner on the Feed your fire board using your in-game money.
  2. Follow the placement prompt, such as “Place your firework spawner,” and choose a spot in the play area.
  3. Leave room between it and the fire. Spawners can burn when spreading flames reach them.
  4. Look for its fuel appearing on the field. Organic/log spawners produce logs, firework spawners produce fireworks, and electric spawners produce batteries. Production continues without you interacting with the spawner.

You can own multiple spawners at once, so later purchases add to your existing supply. If the growing fire threatens their positions, buy the board's move spawners option and relocate them farther out.

How much fire-feeding do they automate?

A placed spawner handles fuel production. Delivery upgrades handle more of the work between that fuel landing and reaching the fire. These upgrades become available through progression on the upgrade board:

Delivery upgradeWhat it does
Click-launchLaunches clicked items toward the fire. You still click the fuel, but no longer need to drag each item all the way in.
Chain lightningGrab the lightning to scoop up and burn nearby fuel together, reducing the amount of fuel you need to handle individually.
Conveyor beltAvailable in a later world; carries fuel that lands on the belt toward the fire. Its benefit depends on fuel landing on it.

With enough fuel production and delivery automation working together, the fire can keep growing with little or no input during a run. Click-launch still requires clicking, while conveyor delivery works automatically for items that land on the belt.

If fuel is piling up while you struggle to drag it in, delivery is the part of the loop to improve. Adding another spawner increases the supply you must handle.

Increasing spawner output

The board also offers upgrades for specific spawners. For example, “Pole batteries spawn faster” increases battery spawning. These upgrades improve production; pair them with delivery upgrades when your goal is to reduce manual feeding.
