Feed the Fire World 2 Guide: Reach and Survive Red Sun
Get into the Red Sun space world through the first world's final fight, then rebuild with molten rocks, automate fuel delivery and prepare for the sun's blasts.
To reach the Red Sun space world in Feed the Fire, get through the first world's final boss, Tempest, and continue through the ending. Once you arrive, rebuild with a hot crate and conveyor belt, feed the new fire with molten rocks, and raise its level before each announced sun blast.
How to get from the first world into space
Your first goal is to keep the fire alive through Tempest, the final boss of the first world. Continue feeding the fire and developing your setup as you work toward that fight. If storms are stopping your progress, use the storm survival guide for help with that stage.
The first-world ending leads into the space stage. It includes the fire reaching and piercing the sun, followed by a larger star destroying the old world. Arriving on a different planet with a fresh starter spawner is your clear sign that you've made it through.
What to do immediately after arriving
Expect to rebuild your setup: the space stage starts you over with a starter spawner. The hostile sun can zap the fire and extinguish it, so begin feeding and buying upgrades promptly.
- Buy the hot crate and conveyor belt. Fuel that lands on the belt rides toward the fire, reducing the carrying you need to do. Make sure fuel actually lands on the belt to benefit from it.
- Keep feeding molten rocks into the fire. Each lump earns money as you build the fire. Continue using the spawners' fuel supply to earn for your next purchases.
- Reinvest in value and fuel handling. The coal value upgrade raises the money earned per lump. Increase cursor size, add spawners and expand the conveyor belts as your setup grows.
The aim is to keep fuel reaching the fire while your income funds further expansion. Buying a belt is only the start; extend the belts as you add more fuel sources.
Raise the fire before each sun blast
Use the next blast's announced fire-level requirement as your immediate target. Keep feeding between attacks so the fire reaches or exceeds that requirement before the blast lands.
| Sun attack | Announced fire-level requirement |
|---|---|
| Blast 2 | Level 8 |
| Blast 3 | Level 13 |
Watch each announcement as the encounter progresses. These early targets give you concrete milestones while you rebuild, and surviving the blast confirms you've passed that attack. The fire can be extinguished if an attack overwhelms it, so keep expanding your fuel delivery between blasts.
Expand beyond the starter setup
As more upgrades become available, the Red Sun world offers several ways to develop your setup:
- Power cells, charged fueling and Tesla coils appear during the earlier expansion beyond molten rocks. Continue developing your spawners, cursor size and belts alongside these purchases.
- Ground crystals grow on the ground and pay more the longer you wait. Letting them grow gives you a reason to delay collecting them.
- Gas cans and the meteor upgrades broaden the later setup. The meteor line includes meteor shower, heat shield and meteor pool purchases.
- Fuel cells appear late in progression. The fire can reach level 70 during this stage.
Keep the next blast requirement in view while expanding. For the broader progression layout, see the upgrade tree guide.
What happens at the end? Spoilers
The late encounter includes the Crush Array and a beam attack. A bigger star eventually destroys the hostile sun, then betrays the player and destroys the planet as well. The sequence continues with the player fleeing while that star gives chase.
