Feed the Fire: Earn More Money From Every Burn

Drag fuel into your own fire to earn money, then spend it on earnings upgrades in the FEED YOUR FIRE upgrade tree. Keep feeding the fire as well: every piece burned pays money, and a bigger fire earns more per burn.

Your income improves through three connected choices: increasing earnings directly, growing the fire, and supplying more fuel to burn.

Repeat the burn-and-upgrade loop

1. Drag available fuel into your campfire. Start with logs and use batteries, explosives and fireworks as they become available. Money pop-ups show successful burns, while the FIRE LEVEL counter tracks your fire's growth.
2. Keep feeding through the rain. The preparation countdown leads into a rain phase, when you continue adding fuel to keep the fire burning.
3. Open the upgrade tree after the fire goes out. On the DROWNED OUT results screen, press UPGRADE to open FEED YOUR FIRE.
4. Buy an upgrade, then press START THE FIRE. This begins another round, giving you another opportunity to burn fuel and earn. Purchases reveal more of the upgrade tree.

Which upgrades make each burn pay more?

Earnings upgrades directly increase income. In the upgrade tree, choose cards whose descriptions explicitly increase earnings. In one early progression example, an earnings purchase was followed by $2 burns. Your payout also depends on how big your fire is.

Later progression includes an upgrade labeled 500% earnings. As purchases reveal more cards, keep looking for these direct income boosts. For more help navigating the branches, see the upgrade tree guide.

Fire-value upgrades help through growth. For example, an Organic Fire Value card lists +10% fire value and describes logs burning hotter and growing a little. The percentage refers to fire value. Its connection to income is that growing a bigger fire increases what each burn earns.

Add spawners to support more burning

Buy and place spawners as they become available through the tree. They automate fuel supply, giving you more material to burn while you continue growing the fire. Organic and firework spawners become available through progression.
