Feed the Fire Frozen Biome Guide: Oil and Igloo Shelter
Get started in Feed the Fire's frozen biome with oil rigs and penguin auto-feeding, melt the giant snowball for money, and build an igloo for shelter.
Once you reach the frozen biome in Feed the Fire, switch to oil, buy oil rigs and penguin auto-feeding, and use the oil gun on the giant snowball. Burning the snowball earns money you can put into your setup. After destroying it, your next objective is to help the penguins build an igloo for shelter from the hunting sun.
Start with oil and penguin auto-feeding
Your first purchases and actions should support the snowball objective:
- Get your oil supply running. The frozen landscape has no wood to gather, so oil becomes your usable fuel. Obtain the oil gun and buy oil rigs to establish your new setup.
- Buy penguin auto-feeding. This upgrade lets penguins throw fish straight into the fire automatically, freeing you to work on the snowball without handling every fish delivery yourself.
- Build up oil, then attack the giant snowball. Use the oil gun on it to start melting it and earning money. Keep working toward destroying the whole snowball, improving your supply and upgrades as you go.
- Put the money back into your setup. Snowball earnings can fund more tankers and penguins. Penguin fish-delivery upgrades make them return with fish sooner, while tank pump-speed upgrades speed up pumping. These purchases support continued melting and fire growth.
If feeding the fire interrupts your snowball attacks, penguin automation helps you manage both tasks. If you keep running out of oil, improve your tank setup and pump speed. Having oil available is only part of the job; keep improving the setup as you work toward destroying the snowball.
Hide from the sun and build the igloo
The sun searches for you in the frozen biome. Follow the “Hold space to hide” prompt when it appears. Once your igloo is built, hide inside it for shelter.
After the giant snowball is destroyed, the penguins move on to building an igloo from ice blocks. Support construction with upgrades for faster igloo-building penguins, faster waddling and sharp saw knives. Watch the block progress as construction advances, then use the finished igloo as shelter when the sun hunts you.
