Feed the Fire storm stages: Drizzle to Tempest
Learn the six storm stages in order, how their severity increases, and how to recognize the countdown and rain phases in Feed the Fire.
Feed the Fire’s six storm stages arrive in this order: Drizzle → Shower → Rainfall → Downpour → Storm → Tempest. Each is more severe than the last, making Tempest the toughest stage in this sequence. Surviving an early storm does not guarantee your fire will withstand the next one.
| Order | Stage | Relative danger |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Drizzle | The first and least severe storm stage. |
| 2 | Shower | More severe than Drizzle. |
| 3 | Rainfall | More severe than Shower. |
| 4 | Downpour | More severe than Rainfall. |
| 5 | Storm | More severe than Downpour; only Tempest comes after it. |
| 6 | Tempest | The final and most severe stage of the six. |
The survival test is your fire’s size when the rain arrives: only a fire big enough can survive. The increasing severity means a fire that comfortably handles an earlier stage can struggle later. Even a high-level fire can lose levels rapidly during a late storm, so reaching a large size is no guarantee of lasting through the remaining stages.
To recognize the start of a storm, watch the countdown above the fire. In the opening Drizzle phase, the countdown ends, a cloud moves over the fire, and the banner “SURVIVE THE RAIN — KEEP THE FIRE FED” appears alongside the stage name. Tempest also appears under its own name on screen. Use the displayed countdown for timing; the wait can differ between rounds.
