Feed the Fire fuel list: what to burn and how to add it
Learn how to feed logs, batteries, explosives and fireworks into your fire, recognize later fuel types, and use spawners to supply more fuel.
In Feed the Fire, drag logs, batteries, explosives and fireworks directly into the fire. Burning fuel earns money and grows the flame. Start with the logs that drop onto the field, then add other fuel types as they become available through progression.
Main fuel list and how to add each type
The game's four named fuel families share the same basic drag action:
| Fuel | How to add it to the fire |
|---|---|
| Logs | Grab a log from the field and drag it into the campfire. These are the fuel you begin with. |
| Batteries | Grab a battery fuel item and drag it directly into the fire. |
| Explosives | Drag the explosive fuel item, such as an explosive barrel, into the fire. |
| Fireworks | Grab a firework fuel item and drag it into the fire. |
Golden logs can also appear. When one drops, feed it into the fire just like an ordinary log.
Bring fuel directly into the flame when feeding by hand. Watch for a money number to pop up when it burns; as you keep adding fuel, the FIRE LEVEL counter rises and the fire visibly grows. You can repeat this with the next fuel items that drop onto the field.
More fuels in later worlds
As you progress through later worlds, you can encounter additional fuels, including molten rocks or coal lumps, power cells, fuel cells and gas canisters.
The ice biome also introduces fish as fuel. Penguins can throw fish straight into the fire, providing another way to keep it fed.
Getting more fuel onto the field
Spend money earned from burning fuel in the upgrade tree to open more fuel options. See the fuel unlocks guide for that progression.
Spawners supply fuel for you, with firework spawners as one example. A conveyor belt can carry fuel that lands on it toward the fire. For more on supplying and moving fuel, use the spawners guide.
